He is the One who transforms us and makes us pure and holy in God’s sight as we spend time in His Presence. (Romans 5:5)Īnd that the Spirit of God is the One who is our etching tool. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. The apostle Paul said that the Holy Spirit poured into our hearts the love of God when we received Him. And the crazy thing is, the love that we give isn’t even suppose to be out of our own strength. Our whole being gets sanctified and purified as we walk in love towards others. So in simpler terms “obeying the truth” is loving others by the ability of the Spirit, and when we do this our mind, will, and emotions get purified. There is a lot here in this small verse but if you break it down you’ll notice that obeying the truth through the Spirit by loving others purifies our soul, which is our mind, will, and emotions. This is why Peter says to the churches, “Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart” (1 Peter 1:22). So although we were saved for good works, these works are not to be done out of our own merit and strength, but out of God’s ability and the Spirit’s sanctification within us. “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.” (Matthew 22:37-40)Īlso, notice how in verse 10 of Ephesians 2 it says, “for we are His workmanship.”

“For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” (Galatians 5:14) Lastly, as we endeavor to do ministry, (even virtually) we will always “Endeavor to lift up a standard” and that standard is Jesus Christ, the Hope of Glory. So as you can see we do not receive salvation by works, but we are saved with a purpose and that purpose is for good works.Īnd those “good works” are found in one word- love. We will make ourselves “accessible” to community leaders and other community organizations that are for the “betterment” of the residences of the Community. We will fight the forces of evil by doing warfare (in the spirit) and showing forth the Excellency of God (in character and in deeds), all to the Glory of God! We will remain “prepared” for every good work as the Lord leads, guides, and assigns or (appoints) for us by way of His Spirit.

We will help to facilitate “mending” of those that have been bruised and abused. Our aim is to offer a place of prayer, refuge, comfort, restoration, and resources for those in need. We shall be a blessing in word, in alms and alms deed to the poor and those in need (within) and (outside) the Household of Faith all in an effort to minister to the “whole man” (spirit, soul, and body)! It is our endeavor to serve and affect the community by showing forth kindness, hospitality, and the love of God which is shed abroad our hearts by the Holy Ghost. We are equipped to preach the TRUTH through the gospel of Jesus Christ everywhere! We will cast out devils through the power of the Holy Ghost and in the name of Jesus Christ! We will speak “prophetically” into the lives of those in our midst as the Spirit of the Lord gives utterance.Īs a 21st Century church, we aim to be witnesses for Christ and Ambassadors of the Word of God ready to lead and feed souls in the Kingdom of God. We serve as the “House” that will administer healing and deliverance and the complete salvation experience for those that are bound and lost. We stand as the “House” where the Kingdom of God is at hand! We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, they who are saved unto eternal life with Christ and they who are lost unto eternal damnation.Īs a church, we serve as a Kingdom Representative of the “light of God” shining forth in dark places. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in Christ. We believe in the power of the Holy Ghost, by whose indwelling, a Christian is made spiritually alive and enabled to live a Godly life. We believe that the natural man must be born again of the spirit through the acceptance of Jesus Christ as their Lord and personal savior. We believe that Jesus Christ ascended to the right hand of the Father to serve as the mediator between God and man, now rules as Head of His body, the Church, and will personally return in power and glory. We believe in the Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, His sinless life, His atoning death on the cross, and His bodily resurrection from the grave. We believe in the Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Ghost all working together.

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible Word of God.
